During the hot North Texas summers, it is so important to hydrate your lawn properly throughout the hot months.
First, check before watering to see if there is a water ban in your area. Follow any water ban rules that may be set. Set up a sprinkler system to keep your lawn hydrated. Water lawns during the early morning hours typically between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. Watering lawns in the heat of the day can cause water loss through evaporation.
Although you might want to water daily, you are really better off not watering daily. You may be surprised to know that deep, infrequent watering is far better for your lawn than shallow, frequent watering. It takes only an inch of water to make your grass happy and will result in a greener and stronger grass roots.
